Who should apply for this designation?

What qualification do I need to have?
We know that there are many successful individuals working within the staffing industry that have not achieved any formal qualification beyond high school and as a result have created two (2) pathways to access and achieve the mid-level designation, ISPr.
For Pathway 1, You must have a minimum of 5 years experience working in the staffing industry and hold a Matric or equivalent NQF4 qualification
For Pathway 2, You must have a minimum of 3 years experience working in the staffing industry and be in possession of a relevant NQF5 qualification
How much experience do I need to have?
For the purposes of the designation, the only experience that will be considered is that gained within the staffing industry or, in the case of an internal HR person, time spent handling recruitment as a core function.
If you are entering using Pathway 1 you must have a minimum of five (5) years staffing industry experience.
For Pathway 2 you must have a minimum of three (3) years staffing industry experience.
What assessment will I need to complete?
You will have to write and pass, with a minimum of 75%, the APSO Board Exam. This exam seeks to undrestand your knowledge and practical application of the embedded knowledge required to offer a compliant, professional and ethical recruitment/staffing service such as ethics, labour law, recruitment processes and sales and marketing.
The APSO Board Exam is offered online and you will have up to three (3) months to study and take the exam. Achieving the required pass mark is compulsory before you can be considered for the ISPr designation.
Once I've got the designation, what can I call myself?
You will be entitled to use the designation Individual Staffing Professional, or "ISPr". This can be displayed on your email signature, business cards and on your social media profiles.
What do I need to do in order to maintain my designation?
You will have to ensure that you keep up your fees, maintain your good standing by working in strict accordance with the APSO Code of Ethics and Codes of Best Practice and meet the minimum Continuous Professional Development (CPD) requirement of thirty (30) CPD points in the twelve month registration period.
How much does it cost?
