Designations
Which Level am I ?

The staffing industry is now recognised as a profession and APSO, as the official professional body for the staffing industry, has three (3) professional designations recognised by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). These designations cater for new entrants, more experienced consultants and the most senior individuals working in the staffing industry and provides a clear career pathway to success.

To help you determine which level you should apply for and the requirements for each designation, please find below an outline of the various elements, including experience and qualification that form part of the assessment and awarding process.

Individual Staffing Practitioner (ISP)

This is the entry level designation and where most individuals currently working in the sector will begin their journey to professionalism. To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:
