APSO Connect Session

TES Policies

This session will provide the practical policies that TES providers and recruitment agencies should have in place, both for their own internal (permanent) staff and for their temporary/contract workforce.

A gap has been identified in the development of a proper, structured internal policy framework. Many agencies are operating with very limited policies in place, or with policies that haven’t been updated in line with current labour law developments. With increased inspections and the ongoing focus on compliance regarding the LRA, BCEA, POPIA, and general employee management, this is becoming a significant risk area.
APSO has created this practical session that covers:

  • What policies are non-negotiable from a compliance perspective
  • What additional policies are best practice (especially in a TES environment)
  • How to structure policies so they’re actually usable and not just sitting in a file
  • Common gaps and risk areas we’re seeing in the industry
