Speed Reading for Business
Date: 2025-10-23
Time: 09:00
Duration: Two Days
CPD Points: 14

Introduction:

Effective Reading is a tool that trains the eyes to keep pace with the rapid rate at which the brain is capable of processing information.  The brain is extraordinary.  It processes and retains information at phenomenal speeds.  However, most people use less than 1% of their brain’s capability simply because they have inadequate knowledge about its potential - or how to use it.

In order to read at speed with high levels of comprehension, you need to trust your brain’s capability; knowing that the brain is better able to remember information that it absorbs in meaningful chunks . . . in excess of 500 words per minute.

Research shows that people who have not been trained to read effectively, read leisure material between 150 - 200 words per minute.  Effective readers have an unlimited range of speed from 500 - 100 000 words per minute.

In order to meet work commitments, business professionals need to process information at a speed of 650 - 750 words per minute.

If you want to have a competitive advantage . . .
Speed is of the essence.
